A private conversation before beginning the présentaion of the movie of Damiani. Imdb indicates(appoints) the movie as " El Chuncho, quien sabe? ", while the versoin which I have calls(mentions) the movie; " El Chucho, quien sabe? ", without "n". The appelation " El Chuncho " was resumed(taken back) by the French-speaking world, but it seems to me that Imdb makes an error, because, in Spanish, "El Chucho" means " the mutt ", while the expression " El Chuncho " wants to say nothing!

Crossed(Spent) his(her,its) preliminary semantic, the movie of Damiano Damiani plunges us into the Mexican Revolution and wants, under outside light, a reflection on the face(figure) of the "revolutionary". The movie of Damiani Is thus structured with the opposition Chucho // NinoUp to the caricature! The one surly farmer, the other one, sophisticated man of affair(business). The one so revolutionary as the bandit, other, killer professional in banker's speeds(looks)... But the director avoids falling too much in clichés(pictures) because in spite of this Manichean opposition between two archetypes, ChunchoThe big-hearted farmer, can also sink into excesses of free violence, killing without remorse, while Nino Can also have accesses of humanity, when he(it) prevents the middle-class person from be violated.. The characters, as often in the western spaghetti, are crossed by ambigues attitudes, acting mostly, by greed and cynicism, giving the image of a man profoundly rotten, what cuts with the moralism of the American classic western. Nevertheless, the morality will be saved, because Gian-MariaA tried time(weather), refuses to be sold for all the money(silver) of the world, and will return to its first passion: the Revolution!!
